Two-person exhibition with Zoë Powell at Hugomento, San Francisco, CA
2024
Exhibition Statement:
Alluvium, a two-person exhibition of ceramic sculptures made from locally sourced clays by Minnesota artists Zoë Powell & Mitch Iburg.
Presented together for the first time, the works in this exhibition showcase ideas and forms developed over many years of sharing a studio and life. Throughout this time, each body of work has slowly evolved as Powell and Iburg discover new materials and their geographic origins. Collectively, they emphasize the artists’ shared curiosity for the nuanced expressions of the natural world around us. Installation featuring furniture pieces by San Francisco designer Evan Kinori.
